The Carroll County Economic Development Corp. is a division of the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, working closely with community partners to improve economic opportunity for all of Carroll County. The Economic Development teams provides support to local businesses interested in expanding, entrepreneurs working to start a new small business, and to attract to business investment from outside the community. Missouri consistently has one of the lowest costs of living ratings in the county. According to the Missouri Economic Research and Information Center, in the third quarter of 2020, Missouri complied fifteen straight quarters of being ranked in the top ten states for lowest cost of living. Currently Missouri is ranked fifth. Carroll County consistently has a lower cost of living than that of the State’s average.

Carroll County is uniquely located in the west-central portion of Missouri providing access to multiple major metropolitan markets throughout the Midwestern portion of the United States in less than a 1-day truck drive.
